Lady Pups win again

The Copperas Cove Junior High Lady Pups came away victorious last Thursday evening. 

First, 7th grade took the field and took control of the game immediately. Sandi Cook started the night off scoring first setting the Pups in motion. Soon after, Savannah Williams added two more to the board. 

After a slowdown, the Lady Pups picked it back up and Abigail Ruppart got her first on the year giving cove a 4-0 win against Travis. 

Other standouts on defense were Alizae Esparza and Taylor Moosman. Goalie Hayley Goodman had three saves and goalie Keirah had two saves in the goal. 7th grade’s current record is 2-0 in district.

8th grade rebounded from their loss last week. Within the first 10 minutes of the game, Aydan (Dani) Moreno struck first putting the pups up 1-0. 

Brooke Dolan quickly followed with two back-to-back goals. 

After an aggressive game, the Lady Pups walked away with a 3-0 win.

Defensive standouts were Maggie Crawley, Madeline Frazier, and Camille De Los Santos. 

Goalies Emma Durcan and Kaydance Goordan had three saves each. 

8th grades record is currently 2-1 in district.

Next week the girls will have their toughest game of the year versus Midway at Bulldawg Stadium.
