CCISD school board appoints former trustee to Place 5

By LYNETTE SOWELL-STEVENS Cove Leader-Press    During a special meeting on Monday, June 8, the Copperas Cove ISD board of trustees voted to accept the resignation of Place 5 Trustee Heather Copeland.

City council gives nod to $34 million in annual bond notice

By LYNETTE SOWELL-STEVENS Cove Leader-Press   During Tuesday’s meeting, the Copperas Cove city council approved the City giving a notice of intent to issue just over $34 million in annual certificate of obligation (CO) bonds. Of that total, $6.4 million would be supported by general fund taxes.
