Lady Dawg powerlifters excel at State

The lineup of Lady Dawg Powerlifters had a strong showing at the state UIL contest on Wednesday, placing 11th overall as a team.
Regional Champion junior Jolina Toala took 2nd place in her weight class.
Regional Champion senior A’mya Moss took 3rd in her weight class.
Returning Regional Champion and senior Michaela Grimm placed 10th overall and was one of six at the championship who received a $1,000 scholarship. She also set a new personal record by 5lbs.
Amaya Eseroma and Nathalie Clay both took 12th in their respective weight classes, with Clay also setting a 30lb personal record.
Courtney Addy took 13th, Kyan Ramos took 14th, and Chloe Flores took 16th.
