Traeger running for Copperas Cove city council place 5

A local educator and Army veteran is running for Copperas Cove city council Place 5.

Timothy Traeger is one of four who filed to run for office in the May 4 election.

“Greetings to my fellow Cove-ites, my name is Timothy Traeger and l am running for city council. I am currently a teacher and have been part of the CCISD school district for the past 8 years. I am also an Army veteran with a lovely wife and four wonderful children,” Traeger said.

“My desire to run for City Council stems from my desire to make a difference and believing that one person can make a difference and should try to do so. I would like to promise significant changes but we all know that may not happen, however, I can promise that I will advocate for change.

‘I have a desire to make positive changes in their communities, address important issues for all of the residents living in Copperas Cove, serve their constituents, advocate for specific causes, or contribute to the political process. I want to make a direct impact on policy-making, represent the interests of their constituents, and bring about meaningful change in society. Possibly enact tangible improvements and uphold values that I believe in.”
