Copperas Cove High School class of 2005 alum, Andrea Bordeaux, has landed a recurring role on NCIS: Los Angeles, in the role of Special Agent Harley Hidoko.
She is no stranger to the small screen, having appeared in episodes of NCIS, Law and Order SVU, Marry Me, and Criminal Minds, as well as had a brief role on the hit show Rizzoli & Isles in the role of Neda, a barista and girlfriend of a Boston homicide detective.
Bordeaux recently sat down with Cheddar online and talked about landing the role of the special agent, telling Alyssa Julya Smith that she’d originally gone in to audition for a one-day role of a night club manager on the show. It happened that the show’s writer was there at the audition.
She was asked to read for the role of Special Agent Hidoko, and after an audition and a callback, the rest is history.
Bordeaux, whose character is a former Marine, hailed to her upbringing as an “Army brat” during the interview and spoke of her mother, who was a communications specialist and sergeant, something Bordeaux said they didn’t know at the time of her audition.
She plays opposite actors like Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J.
“Every single person has been so amazing,” Bordeaux said in her interview. “They’re all incredible teachers and they all bring something so different to the show, and I think that’s one of the reasons the show is so popular and why it appeals to so many different people.”
