No matter how small

By Lynette Sowell

With election day upon us today, I thought I’d dust off this column entry and share it again. This is a “small” election. Only one decision on the ballot. This one, or that one. And if you don’t vote, essentially, you’re saying “no one.” We have over 17,000 voters who use their simple not-voting action to raise the biggest noise by their silence. I still remember the first time reading the book, Horton Hears A Who. When Horton realizes there’s a whole city inside one speck of dust and tries to protect it, the rest of his jungle friends think he’s gone crazy.
