Morrison rallies for regional berth

Copperas Cove’s Tyler Morrison showed the grit of a champion on day two of the District 8-5A Golf Tournament to rally back in extreme wind to qualify for regionals in Lubbock on April 16-17 and lead her team to a third place finish. The salty sophomore bested her day one total by 11, posting a 79 on Thursday to take the final qualifying spot away from her teammate Mikayla Miller. She posted a two-day total of 169 to best Miller by two strokes who finished in fifth place with 171.
