The Bulldawgs needed to secure a win to ensure their place in the Team Tennis playoffs this year after missingout a year ago. They came out on the losing end of a hard-fought 12-7 contest, but will still enter the playoffs in the third or fourth spot, depending on what happens between Harker Heights and Ellison. “We find out Friday if we enter the Area Tournament in third or fourth place,” said Copperas Cove head coach Paul Talbett. “If Ellison beats Harker Heights, we’re third. If Harker Heights beats Ellison, we’ll be fourth.” Cove took a lead in the match when they won four of the seven doubles matches.
