Cove LB commits to Golden Gophers

Copperas Cove had its third senior football player commit to a division I collegeover the summer. Jaylen Waters, the 6-foot, 2-inch, 229-pound inside linebacker, announced the commitment to play football for the Golden Gophers of Minnesota through a Twitter message. “Excited to say that the University of Minnesota will be my new home in 2015 & where I will further my education. – Golden Gopher Commit,” the post read. Waters follows fellow defender Tyrell Thompson (University of Houston) and quarterback Manny Harris (University of Texas at San Antonio) in getting their college commits handled before kicking off the 2014-15 campaign with the Bulldawgs.
