The Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs were recently rewarded for their fifth-consecutive playoff appearance with eight selections to the 8-6A All-District list.
Junior shortstop Jayda Carter and junior centerfielder Kristen Wasiak were named to the First Team.
Joining the Cove duo on the First Team were (pitchers) Belton junior Madison Cotton and San Angelo Central freshman Baylee Fulps; (catchers)Midway senior Sophie Wideman and Belton senior Bethany Edwards; (infielders) Belton soph. Madison Bartlett, Belton senior Mackenzie Bartlett, Harker Heights soph. Ja’lynn Swiney, Central senior Sydnie Gilbert, Midway junior Kadyn Trochim, Midway junior Sammie Martinez and Shoemaker senior Makayla Scoggin; (outfielders) Belton freshman Paige Nunes, Belton junior Madison Ward, Killeen senior Destiny Allen, Shoemaker junior Makai Ellerbe, Central junior Kaleigh Ochinang and Harker Heights soph. Cove freshman pitcher Brooke Schmidt led six Second Team nods. Freshman catcher Alina Salazar, senior second baseman Addie cook, junior left fielder Nazhoni Wyss, senior right fielder McKenna Miller and junior utility player Maria Hanna round out the list for the Lady Dawgs.

Tatum Seith; (catchers) Harker Heights freshman Marissa Stillwell and Shoemaker junior Megan Wilson; (infielders) Ellison freshman Kadazjah Trimble, Killeen junior Avalyn James, Midway freshman Jenna Rowatt, Midway junior Caitlyn Dobbs, Central senior Maddie Stewart and Central soph. Emily Sanchez; (outfielders) belton freshman Harley Staton, Harker Heights soph. Madelyn Garrison, Ellison soph. Andrea Lopez, Shoemaker soph. Lynda Nena and Killeen senior Allison Fox; and (designated player) Midway junior Faith Fernandez.
Belton junior Avery Drake was named the District 8-6A Most valuable Player while Shoemaker freshman Maddie Martinez and Central freshman Ashton McMillan were named Co-Newcomers of the Year.
Midway junior Jazmine Gendorf was named Defensive Player of the Year and Belton junior Caleigh Robinson was named Offensive Player of the Year.
