SSG (Ret) Carolyn Ann Rosales

Carolyn A. Rosales, 75, of Copperas Cove passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at home. Private Services will be held at a later date at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

 

Carolyn was born on April 16, 1940 to the late Carroll James and Evelyn Magdeline Wiggins Brown. She graduated from Colorado City High School in 1958. Carolyn attended college at Hardin Simmons University before joining the United States Army in 1959. In 1960, she met Charles Rosales and they later married on January 1, 1961. They had exactly 55 years together. She retired from the Army in 1991 and became a devoted homemaker.

 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Paul Justin Rosales Brown.

 

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Charles Rosales; children, Angela Duncan and husband, Mike, John Brown, Doyle Brown; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Johnny Brown, Marie Grandy and Dwight Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to any organization supporting Veterans.

 

Arrangements are in the care of Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.
