Courtney Shealea Alger

Courtney Shealea Alger, born March 8, 1998 in Temple, TX, earned her wings August 16, 2022 in Bridgeport, TX. She was 24.

 

Courtney gained her early education in Copperas Cove, graduating in 2016. During those years she enjoyed being in the choir from junior high through high school. She loved to sing! She was president of MBRATS for 4 years, and volunteered for two youth mission trips. She attended Central Texas College with the intent of transferring her credits to Bridgeport and continuing her education.

 

She was loved by so many in her short time here. If you knew her, you became family. She always strived to be the solution, she had a heart of gold.

 

Courtney is preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents, Willis “Todd” T. Alger and Caroline Kathleen Alger; Maternal Grandparents, Delk “Chris” Christopher Batson, Virginia Lee Batson, Lois J. Grubb Batson; Paternal Great-Grandmother, R. Alice Robinson; Aunt Christina Ann “Chrissy” Grubb Montoya.

 

She is survived by her parents, Willis "Chip" Alger II and Bonnie Batson Alger; Brother, Willis Alger III and his wife, Taylor; Nephews, Kaleb and Joel Alger; Bonus sisters, Monique Morris, Christa Adkins and CheKenya Windham. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and fiancé, Kolten T. MacCarrick.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, TX.

Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2022 from 6 to 8pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 3pm at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home. The family asks you to wear bright colored clothing to celebrate Courtney's bright and shining personality.
