Special to the Leader-Press
Local youth are invited to attend the Lemonade Day University workshop held at the Central Texas College Mayborn Science Theater on Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Lemonade Day University participants will work with students from Net Impact of Central Texas College to kick-off their entrepreneurial journey.
All participants must be registered through Eventbrite to attend. The event is free and registration can be done at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lemonade-day-university-2024-tickets-808002.... There are 75 seats available for this all-day workshop.
This is a drop-off event. Upon arrival, parents/guardians will sign a waiver for your youth entrepreneur to attend Lemon U, attend a brief parent/mentor presentation, and arrive back for our graduation ceremony.
Participants for Lemon U will need to be ages 6 and up. Lunch will be provided for youth participants and they will also receive a free Lemonade Day t-shirt.
Participants will learn about entrepreneurship in a classroom environment, receive Lemon U diplomas and take part in other fun activities.
Duane Shaw, the Lemonade Day National Youth Entrepreneur of the Year, will be the keynote speaker and provide tips and tricks on his success.
Lemonade Day will be held the first weekend in May and is presented by First National Bank Texas and Fort Hood National Bank, along with Fort Hood Family Housing, and H-E-B.
