Law Enforcement Explorers Program graduates eight.

Prior to entering the Copperas Cove Police Department’s Law Enforcement Explorers Program, Andrew Sowder, 16, was sure his path would end up behind bars. Before entering the program, Sowder stole his mother’s vehicle, was stopped for carrying nine passengers in a vehicle, driving without a license, possessing beer and marijuana. At the recommendation of two senior explorers, Sowder began the turn that led him to be the LEEP valedictorian for the class of 2014.
