Reward up to $10,000 offered in Kwik Cash Pawn burglary

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, announced on Thursday a reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for the recent burglary and theft of firearms from Kwik Cash Pawn in Copperas Cove.
The ATF is offering up to $5,000, which will be matched by the NSSF for a total up to $10,000.
According to a Thursday press release from the ATF, on September 3 at approximately 10:09 p.m., a black male forcibly entered Kwik Cash Pawn, located at 401 West Business Highway 190. The suspect is described as approximately 6’ tall, 220 pounds, mid to late 20’s, wearing a red sweatshirt, light colored pants, a black backpack, and a light-colored cloth or t-shirt covering part of his face. The suspect stole 26 firearms before fleeing the scene. The suspect’s vehicle is described as an older black sedan, possibly a Honda.
The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, in his mid to late 20s, wearing a red sweatshirt, light-colored pants, a black backpack, and a light-colored cloth or t-shirt covering part of his face.

Previously, it had been listed on the CCPD’s police report that 45 handguns had been stolen, but after the final tally from the store, that number was changed to 26. The report also listed the time of the call for the burglary to be midnight on September 4, with the report for September 3 listing series of alarms at other businesses triggered starting shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday night, at 11:05 p.m. at BKCW Insurance, 11:09 p.m. at EZ Pawn, 11:45 p.m. at Action Pawn, and 11:52 p.m. at Uptown Liquor.
