Cliff Price, age 88, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Baytown.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hines Chapel Cemetery, near Adamsville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Cliff was born on June 30, 1928 in the Vista Mountain community, near Evant to the late, D.C. (Bud) and Eva Mason Price. He went to school in Evant and graduated from Lampasas High School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. as a search and rescue technician in the WWII Era. He married Ann Griffin in 1953. They resided in many areas of the United States, while he worked for General Electric. He retired from General Electric after 34 years and moved to Gatesville in 1986. He served for many years as the Coryell County Republican Party Chair and was elected to two terms as Coryell County Commissioner, Precinct 2. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a former member of the Session.
Cliff was a person of unmatched integrity in his dealings with everyone and strived to live his life without even the slightest appearance of impropriety.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 56 years, Ann Price, in 2011.
Cliff is survived by his son, Michael Price and wife, Margaret of Houston; and his loyal Labrador retriever, Daisy Mae.
