Waffle Cone kicks off 2016 with ice cream challenge

Waffle Cone’s formidable Dawg Bowl weighs 13 pounds, consists of 16 scoops of ice cream, an entire can of whipped cream, Oreos and cherries, costs $75, and whoever can eat it in 35 minutes walks away with $400.

 

That’s the challenge that Waffle Cone’s owner, John Hayes, said only one person has successfully completed in five years of the store offering the challenge.

 

Hayes said there’s an additional bonus—and possible obstacle—for competitors who venture to eat that much ice cream.
