‘Thunder shirts,’ ear plugs and blinders for two

Thunder and lightning make Sawyer, our Tibetan Terrier, extremely nervous. So, we bought a doggie thunder shirt to put on him at such times. It helps. He manages to not be as panicky and to survive thunder and lightning a little better. I’ve progressed from the same kind of fear, as a youngster and a young man. Sawyer came to us almost eight years ago in one of the rainiest, stormiest seasons in Central Texas in a decade or more. He was three months old, matted with burrs and  dirt.
