Local DAV chapter raises funds, draws winner of grand prize

 

The members of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 74 recently held a fundraiser by selling tickets for a freezer or gift card grand prize drawing, and a Copperas Cove woman bought the winning ticket.

 

Debbie Peterson’s ticket was drawn for the $350 gift card and she was awarded her card on Friday by representatives of the local DAV chapter, headed up by chapter commander Joe McGonagle.

 

“We raised $2,200, of which $1,800 is getting our heat and air hooked up,” said DAV member Tony Smith.
