Copperas Cove police identify man, woman in Thursday shooting

A 33-year-old Copperas Cove woman is dead and a 37-year-old man is in stable condition after being found by police after a 9-1-1 hang-up call on Thursday.
On Friday morning, Copperas Cove police stated that 33-year old Destiney Jassmund Carey of Copperas Cove was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill
Price.
The male was identified as 37-year old Kevin Frazier of Copperas Cove and as of Friday morning, Frazier remained hospitalized.
Police reported to the 1000 block of Hobby Road around 12:25 p.m. Thursday in response to the call, and the officer discovered a male and female with gunshot wounds at the residence. At that time, Frazier was transported to Darnall Army Medical Center.
The Copperas Cove police Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate.
