With the first day of school fast approaching, Copperas Cove businesses and organizations are continuing to hold school supply collections and giveaways to try to help students in need.
Two local barbershops in Copperas Cove are collecting supplies.
Nonpareil Barbershop, located at 2518 E. Bus. 190, Suite B, dropped off two large moving boxes full of supplies at Friday’s Stuff the Bus, but owner Johnathan Gray said that his business will continue to collect supplies and hopes to fill a second box by August 18 to give to the school district.
The Bookstore Barbershop, located at 256 Cove Terrace Shopping Center, will be holding a collection drive on Wednesday, August 11, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Any person who brings a backpack filled with 10 items from the list below will receive a free haircut that day on a first come, first served basis.
