On Monday night, the Lampasas Middle School Wind Ensemble, the Harker Heights High School Concert Band, the Lampasas High School Symphonic Band, the Harker Heights High School Symphonic Band, the Lampasas High School Wind Ensemble, the Harker Heights High School Wind Ensemble and the Lampasas High School Jazz Band all performed.
The majority of the performances on Tuesday evening were set aside for the Copperas Cove junior high bands to perform, with the CCJHS concert band, symphonic band and wind ensembles along with the S.C. Lee JHS Concert Band, Wind Symphony and Honor Winds taking the stage. For some of the students, it is their first time taking the stage at the high school.
Tuesday night’s performances were capped off by the Temple High School Highlighters. Last evening featured the talent of the Jarrell High School band, the Academy Academy High School Band and the Ellison High and Temple High Wind Ensembles.
Tonight at 6 p.m., the 2016 Invitational High School Honor Band made up of student musicians from Copperas Cove, Ellison, Harker Heights, Belton, Lampasas and Temple High Schools perform.
Tomorrow evening at 7:00, the CCHS Wind Ensemble and The Heights Concert Band with each take the stage, with the festival ending as both bands combine for a grand finale. Professional DVDs and CDs will be available for ordering during tonight and tomorrow evening’s concerts. Both nights admission is free and open to the public.
