Chamber holds annual banquet, recognizes businesses and members

The Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet on Saturday evening, recognizing businesses and other members of the organization for their service to the community over the past year.
The event, held in a casino night format, was held at Holy Family Catholic Church’s fellowship hall.
This year, Outstanding New Member went to Smoothie King.
“Smoothie King has swiftly become a valued partner, enriching the lives of many and support of the community.”
The Small Business of the Year award went to the Cove Theatre.
“The Cove Theatre has captivated Copperas Cove with their unwavering support and dedication to revitalizing our downtown.”
Large Business of the Year is the City of Copperas Cove.
“The City of Copperas Cove exemplifies the epitome of leadership and dedication to our community's growth and prosperity. Their unwavering commitment to service and innovation has set a standard of excellence for businesses both large and small.”
The Tourism Partner of the Year award went to H-E-B Plus!.
“H-E-B Plus! has played an integral role in showcasing the beauty and charm of our community to visitors near and far. Their commitment to promoting tourism and enhancing the visitor experience has significantly contributed to our area's economic vitality.”
Nonprofit Member of the Year went to Star Group - Veterans Helping Veterans.
“Star Group - Veterans Helping Veterans has touched the lives of countless individuals through their unwavering dedication to supporting our nation's heroes. Their selfless service and tireless advocacy have made a profound impact on the lives of those they serve.”
The Mark Peterson award went to the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation.
“The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation's visionary leadership and strategic initiatives have played a pivotal role in driving economic growth and prosperity throughout our community. Their innovative approach and unwavering dedication to excellence continue to set them apart as a beacon of progress.”
This year’s Ambassador of the Year is Joe DeCroce.
“With his infectious enthusiasm and tireless dedication, Joe DeCroce Kraus has exemplified the true spirit of ambassadorship. His commitment to building connections, fostering relationships and representing our community with pride has made a lasting impact on all those he encounters. Joe's passion for our community shines brightly and we are honored to celebrate his well-deserved recognition as Ambassador of the Year.”
The Volunteer of the Year award went to Tammy Sanchez.

Whether it's lending a helping hand at local events, supporting the community or offering her time and skills, Tammy’s generosity knows no bounds. Her unwavering commitment to service embodies the true essence of volunteerism, and we are incredibly grateful for her invaluable contributions.
The Jim French Award went to Nancy Nelson. Nancy is the chamber board chair and volunteered as interim chamber president for more than one year.
