7th annual Pink Block Party set for Saturday at Homebase

Special to the Leader-Press

Pink Warrior Angels (PWA)  will be setting up with 20 vendors for the 7th Annual Pink Block Party at HomeBase in Copperas Cove on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

This is a free community event with a special gift for breast cancer warriors.

The Copperas Cove Junior High Cheerleaders and Starlettes, along with the S.C. Lee Junior High Cougarettes and Cheer teams will be on the list to perform for the public, as well as the Copperas Cove High School Copperettes and Cheer teams.

PWA will also be receiving a check from the Copperas Cove High School Cheerleaders from funds raised from the selling of their annual Pink Out Shirts.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Homebase. Bringing awareness to our community and honoring those who are gone. It is important to PWA to make your Pink Count,” said Julie Moser, founder of Pink Warrior Angels.

In addition to the performances and vendors, there will be an opportunity to win a number of prizes and raffle baskets.

Proceeds go to PWA to help cancer patients.

“Many of our staff participants year after year and always look forward to the Pink Block Party hosted in partnership with PWA during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our store partnered with Pink Warrior Angels in 2018, because it is personal to myself and many of the crew members. The Homebase Lumber Family is honored to help and be part of PWA,” said Mark Dremel with HomeBase.
