J. R. Atkins, the owner of Something Different Companies is the first full time tenant of the Cove Entrepreneur Center having moved his companies from the Dallas area. His business consists of conducting seminars and lectures on how to make your website productive and profitable. Last week Atkins presented a short seminar to about a dozen interested guests on how to maximize their cyber efforts on social media for their businesses. Atkins, who is a former “Aggie” presented some rather startling facts. He mentioned that Facebook has the world’s 3rd largest population, only behind China and Russia. He spoke of the huge influx of grandparent age people now using Twitter and he spoke of what he termed “an internet marketing trifecta.” The trifecta is is made up of a responsive website, a social media presence and a carefully designed e-mail marketing campaign. Atkins earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M and his MBA from the University of Phoenix also makes most of his seminars available to the general public. You can find more information at www.slideshare.com/jratkins. Atkins said his door is always open at the center and invited anyone with interest in cyber marketing to drop by and see him.
