Time runs out on Lady Dawgs’ playoff rally

GLEN ROSE – Not much  was going right for the Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs early  against the much taller Sachse Lady Mustangs, but a furious comeback attempt by a determined Cove squad simply ran out of time in their UIL Region II-6A bi-district matchup Monday at Glen Rose High School.  Senior Angel Mullen couldn’t believe it was over. “When the last horn went off, I had to look to make sure it was the fourth quarter,” senior Angel Mullen said. “I still thought we had another quarter, but we didn’t and my heart just kind of broke. We all really wanted this game.”
