Stinging Loss

Cove Leader-Press GRANBURY - The thrill of victory was quickly followed by the agony of defeat for the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs’ baseball team in their weather-affected bidistrict playoff series against Rockwall over the weekend. The Dawgs lost Game 1 of the series 6-0 Friday night after inclement weather forced a time and venue change to a 9 p.m. first pitch at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor instead of a 7 p.m. first pitch in China Spring.  The Dawgs would have to wait a little longer for the chance at redemption on  Saturday as weather brought another one-hour delay for  Game 2 in Granbury.
