Soccer splits with Ellison, Girls win, boys lose

Cheers and boos filled the air as Cove faced off with the Ellison Eagles in the last home game of the season Tuesday evening. This game was one to be remembered, as eight of the varsity players played at Ave. E for the final time. Senior Alex Sinclaire broke the ice early with a goal against Ellison just three minutes into the game. The Dawgs maintained the one point lead through the half, but eventually fell 2 to 1. “Fundamentals are the best thing you can work on,” said Sinclaire, giving his advice for the players who will return to play next season.
