Perez signs to play for D1 William Penn University

Copperas Cove Lady Dawg Senior Soccer Captain Liliana Perez had one more thing to do prior to crossing the stage on Friday evening – committing to sign to play soccer for an NCAA Division I university. 

Perez recently signed to play Women’s soccer for William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

In addition to receiving the nod to play collegiate soccer, Perez was also named to the 12-6A All-District First Team. 

She has also received awards off the field, to include advancing to the state level via Copperas Cove High School’s HOSA-Future Health Professionals, placing 3rd at the area contest for Health Career Photography.

The dual-sport athlete was coached by English 3 teacher Liz Duran and also ran cross country at CCHS. 

A member of the top 10 percent of the class of 2022, Perez plans to study Nursing at William Penn.
