On Friday, the No. 22 Copperas Cove Bulldawgs pulled off one of the biggest wins of program history when they beat seventh-ranked Harker Heights on their home turf to earn the program’s first state ranking in recent memory and put themselves in the running for the district lead. What a difference a week makes (or few days in this case). The Bulldawgs (15-9, 2-2 in District 12-6A) who played spoilers the last two seasons by beating Shoemaker in the final game of the regular season to earn a spot in the playoffs, had their debut in the rankings spoiled by the Grey Wolves, 59-51, on Tuesday at Bulldawg gymnasium.
