Cove outlasts Ellison with strong showing from charity stripe

KILLEEN – The season was on the line for the Lady Dawgs , both literally and figuratively, on Friday night as they faced the Ellison Lady Eagles with an 0-3 district start staring them in the face if they could not pull out a road win against a game Lady Eagles’ squad.
“It was definitely tough but we hung in there,” said Cove head coach Eldridge McAdams. “We knew it was going to be a battle and we came to battle. We dug a hole going 0-2 and we definitely couldn’t afford to dig it any deeper. They came with the mindset to play and play they did.”
It was not without adversity, however.
