Lady Dawgs take 2nd in Centex Shootout

The Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs swept their way to the Killeen CenTex Shootout soccer tournament championship game where they fell to district rival Harker Heights in a makeshift championship game after inclement weather forced Austin-area teams to pull out of Saturday’s title games. The Lady Dawgs earned their way to the title game by sweeping their bracket. Cove defeated Robinson 5-3 in a shootout to win game one before posting 1-0 shutouts over Leander and Ellison to earn a spot in Saturday’s championship game.
