After an exhausting 28 of 29 games on the road, the Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs volleyball team finally played to hometown fans at Bulldawg Gymnasium on Tuesday. “I am really proud of them,” said Copperas Cove head volleyball coach Cari Lowery. “We’re learning and we’re getting better. I see a lot of improvement in a lot of different areas. Both of my setters are hurt and one of my middle (blockers). We’ve got pulled muscles and turf toe. If we can get everybody healthy, we’re going to be good. We’ll be ready.” The weary, but battle-tested, Lady Dawgs earned a 3-1 (25-20, 15-25, 25- 18, 25-21) win over the Liberty Hill Lady Panthers in their first home matchsince the second game of the season on  Aug. 12. In their 30th match in three weeks, the battered and bruisedLady Dawgs overcame exhaustion and mistakes to pull out the win over the formerly stateranked Lady Panthers.
