Lady Dawgs powerlifters head to State meet

Lady Dawg Powerlifting won the Region 2 6A Championship this past weekend. 

This marks the first time in 10-plus years that Copperas Cove has won the Regional Championship as a team.

The team was led by returning Regional Champion and senior– Michaela Grimm, who successfully defended her championship. 

Senior A’mya Moss and Junior Jolina Toala also became Regional Champions this weekend.

Michaela Grimm, Chloe Flores, A’mya Moss, Kyan Ramos, Amaya Eseroma, Courtney Addy, Jolina Toala, and Nathalie Clay have qualified for the 6A State Championship in Frisco, TX, taking place next week on March 13.

1st Place – Michaela Grimm – 97lb, A’mya Moss – 123lb, Jolina Toala – 220lb 

2nd Place – Kyan Ramos – 132lb, Amaya Eseroma – 181lb, Nathalie Clay – 242lb 

3rd Place– Jazmine Letterman – 220lb, Courtney Addy – 181lb, Chloe Flores – 114lb, Katherine Grimm – 105lb 

6th Place – Ylitza Finney – 105lb, Kaylee Rodarte – 148lb, Amariah Martinez - 220lb 

7th Place – Leela Fitzpatrick - 165lb 

9th Place – Avery Robinson – 132lb 

10th Place – Skylynn Childers – 132lb 

11th Place – Jaica Donaldson – 181lb 

12th Place – Trinity Aulabaugh – 181lb
