Lady A’s finish in TTA Softball State Final Four

By TJ MAXWELLCove Leader-Press BELTON - The Copperas  Cove Lady A’s run to a  tate title was derailed on thefinal day of the tournament. The Lady A’s faced an uphill battle from the start of the final day having to win four consecutive games ina- row with no break for any chance of winning the title. The Lady A’s were knocked to the losers’ bracket by eventual runner-up Fairfield on Wednesday where they faced the Axtell Pink Ladies. A victory over the Pink Ladies set up a rematch against the Lovelady Lion Drive on Thursday in the first of four possible games. Cove defeated the Lion Drive 7-6 on Tuesday in their first matchup.
