Former Bulldawg coach gets a big book profile soon

Let me start by saying I don’t read Texas Monthly very often.

 

It’s a hot shot, slick magazine that’s way too liberal in its content for an old, died in the wool conservative kid from the coast. Even when a guy from my old high school was running the editorial part, a fellow named Paul Burka, I mainly left it alone because much of the stuff in there was too far out on the left wing to interest me.

 

When my wife recently brought home a copy, she figured I would just check out the cover story on Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo, which I did. Then she picked it up and after a few minutes, startled me by yelling “There’s something in here about Copperas Cove football!”
