The Bulldawgs (4-2, 2-0) hope to honor their seniors with a win on Friday when they host the Ellison Eagles (2-4, 0-2) on senior night. The Eagles ended a 31-game losing streak by defeating Bryan Rudder 33-13 in the second game of the season. They bring an aggressive, speedy and strong team to Bulldawg Stadium on Friday night. Copperas Cove head football coach Jack Welch knows, despite their record or the 31-game losing streak, the Eagles will come to play on Friday night and if his team is not focused and ready it could come back and bite them. “Every Killeen school we play, it’s about even across the board,” said Welch. “Every opponent I go up against, I respect. The time youdon’t respect them, you’re about to get your tail kicked, because when you lay off of somebody, they’re going to whoop you. When you line up and play, these guys, they’re strong.”
