Cove Youth Soccer League well underway

The Copperas Cove Youth Soccer League got underway last Saturday with 28 teams in four separate age groups. Ten teams make up the 7-under group, with eight teams comprising the 9-under group, six making up the 12-under group and four teams for the 15-under group. On Saturday, the Ninjas, Strikers and Kickers each earned a victory to remain unbeaten in the 9U age group. The Ninjas outlasted the Minecraft Creepers 2-1 with a late goal by Ben Lampe with an assist by Darrius Gray. Gray scored the other Ninjas goal in the first quarter. Emmett Harrell scored the goal for the Creepers. The Kickers also earned a 2-1 win over the Power while the Strikers earned a 5-0 win over the Stingrays. The Bulls and the Avengers battled to a 2-2 tie.
