Cove ties for first place at Big Red Relays

The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs track team came out in full force at the Big Red Relays last Saturday in Belton in their final tune up for the District 8-5A Meet in Hewitt on Friday and Saturday. The Dawgs finished tied with Belton for first overall with 169 points. Here are the top six individual event Dawg finishers for the meet: 100 meters- DJ Paepae (second place, 11.14) and Marcus Brumfield (sixth place, 11.66). 200 meters-Breyon Jackson (second place, 23.05), Shamad Lomax (fourth place, 23.25) and LeDerrian Johnson (sixth place, 23.67). 1,600 meters-Zack Watts (first place, 4:48) and Chris Maire (sixth place, 5:53). 3,200 meters-Watts (second place, 10:37) and Chance Thomas (fourth place, 12:27). 110 meter hurdles- Antonio Lealliiee (second place, 15.85).
