The Copperas Cove varsity tennis team opens the season with three straight match wins to improve to 3-0, including avenging a loss to Ellison that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. “Ellison was the team that knocked us out of the playoffs last year,” said Copperas Cove head tennis coach Paul Talbett. “The kids have been looking forward to this match since then. The strong play of our girls helped us close it out 11-8. ” The girls’ team led the Bulldawgs to an 11-8 win over Ellison on Wednesday at the Dawg Tennis center.
