Cove junior powerlifting duo represent at state

Copperas Cove juniors Olivia De La Cruz and Antonia Rodriguez and freshman Amber Boyd competed at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association 5A Girls State Meet in Corpus Christi on Friday. “The meet was very competitive, said head powerlifting coach Brittany Smart. “There were some very strong girls from all over Texas competing for bragging rights.” Cruz (240.6 pounds) finished just off the podium in the 220-plus weight class.
