With the news dominated by the COVID-19 pandemic, good news is a rarity, especially in the sports world where activities have grinded to a screeching halt.

The Copperas Cove Soccer programs bring some of that good news with the 12-6A All-District selections.

Haven Stevenson highlighted the Lady Dawgs’ selections with her Midfielder of the Year nod.

Joining Stevenson on the First Team were Adora Lumpkin, Alexis Honts and Taylor MacDonald.

Trinity Williams, Delisa Dudley and Emily Cason were selected to the Second Team while Sanyia Henegar, Chloe Williams and Bianca Dudley all received Honorable Mention.

The Lady Dawgs were battling for the final playoff spot in District 12-6A when play was suspended due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Stevenson, Cason and Megan Hunter were also named to the Academic All-District Second Team.

The Bulldawgs’ Soccer team also had a handful of selections with Evan Thomas taking the highest nod with a spot on the First Team.

Jaylin Smith earned a spot on the second team while Eduardo Buendia, EJ McAdams and Caden Chapman all received Honorable Mention.
