Blount leads Lady Dawgs to 2OT win

The Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs need to get off the roller coaster they have been riding since district play began. They did just that on Friday night with a double-overtime victory against the Shoemaker Grey Wolves on Friday in Killeen. Cove senior leader Mikayla Blount scored seven of her team-high 13 points in the second overtime period to secure the win. After trailing by as much as 13 points in the first half and 23-12 at the break, the Lady Dawgs responded with a huge third quarter, outscoring the Lady Wolves 15-4 in the frame to force a 27- 27 tie heading into the final frame.
