10U, 8U city champions crowned

The Copperas Cove Parks and Recreation youth basketball season concluded on Thursday and champions were crowned in boys and girls 10-and-under and 8-and-under age divisions. The 8U Rockets continued their undefeated run through the five-team girls’ division with a dominating 22-13 win over the Cavaliers Wednesday at Williams Ledger Elementary. The Rockets (8-0) beat the Saints (2-7-1) in the second round, 22-5, before downing the Cavaliers (4-5) in the title game. The Cavaliers defeated the Starrs (4-4) to make the title game.
