Wayne Vincent Burke, born on December 17, 1969, a beloved figure in the trucking industry, passed away on June 24, 2024 Throughout his life, Wayne wore many hats - from owning and operating Wayne Burke LLC trucking company to managing the terminal at A&G Trucking Company in Belton, TX, and drove trucks in the oil field.
One of Wayne's greatest joys was spending time with his family and friends. He loved family BBQs and enjoyed moments by the swimming pool, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Wayne also enjoyed fishing, hunting, ATVing, mudding, and four-wheeling on his free time. Wayne had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His vibrant personality shined through as he found delight in laughing, dancing, and making sure those around him were enjoying themselves.
In addition to his successful career in the trucking industry, Wayne graduated from high school in Huntsville, Texas in 1989. He took pride in building his own business, Wayne Burke LLC trucking company, which stood as a testament to his hard work and dedication.
Wayne's legacy lives on through his surviving family and friends who meant the world to him. He is remembered by his mother LaWanda Huskins-Paddock, step-father Edward Paddock, sister Deon Burke, step-sisters Nicky Thompson and Kyleen Paddock, step-brother David Paddock, nephews Patrick Hogan, Christopher Hogan, Tyler Swan, niece CarlaJo Weeks, and great-nephews and great-nieces Aedan Hogan, Sofia Hogan; Reagan Weeks; Mason Weeks.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marcy Burke, his father Robert V. Burke, and sister Margret Lee-Hagen.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel at 1614 S FM 116 in Copperas Cove on July 6th at 2:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at the Moose Lodge, 2828 S FM 116 in Kempner starting at 3:30 PM on the same day to honor the life of Wayne Vincent Burke.
His presence will be deeply missed and his memory will always be cherished by those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
