Christian death is not the end. It is our entrance into Gods presence. It is a transition, not a dead end street Francis Glade Walter received a call this day December 15, 2019 from the death angel to accompany him to his last and final journey God has prepared for him.
Born to Dale and Mary Walter on June 30,1938 in Bellwood, Pa.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Rita of 61 years, daughter Lorie Walter of Gatesville, Tx son Alan and wife Sandra Walter of Palestine, Tx.
Grandchildren James Lane of Waller, Tx. Nathaniel and wife Jo’Dee Molina of Gatesville, Tx.
Cody Walter of Gatesville, Tx and Stephanie and Michael Phillips of Tennessee Colony, Tx. Josh Quick of Bastrop, Tx.
Great grandchildren Laci, Tyler, Kali, Paislee, Mason and River.
Francis served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1980 including Korea, Vietnam, Alaska, Ft. Meade, Md. Okinawa, Japan, Berlin and Fort Hood, Tx. After Retirement he was at the Radio Shack for several years then worked at TDCJ-ID in Palestine and Gatesville before retiring, he then worked at ManTec.
Francis was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, also a member of Copperas Cove Police Alumni. He enjoyed collecting clocks and going to Estate Sales.
In Honor of Francis’s request there will be no services held.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Grace United Methodist Church of Copperas Cove, Tx.
