Pong Kum Chon Barberi

Pong Barberi, age 52, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at her home in Kempner. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove with burial following at Noon at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Pong was born on August 6, 1964 in Korea. She moved to the Killeen area in the mid 1980’s and later married Steven Barberi in 1995. She was active in the Cove Korean Baptist Church in Copperas Cove and loved to sing in the church choir.

Pong was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Barberi in 2014.

Pong is survived by her daughter, Christina Chartier; son, Robert Garcia; grandson, Myles Harrison and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Cove Korean Baptist Church, 909 Industrial Ave, Copperas Cove, TX 76522.

Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
