Margaret Hubbert age 95 of Copperas Cove, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 in Copperas Cove.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Burial will follow at the Killeen City Cemetery.
Margaret was born on Sept. 26, 1920 in Regensburg, Germany to the late Daniel and Berta Arnold. She grew up in a large loving family of five brothers and five sisters. She married Donald Hubbert in 1954 in Germany and they were blessed with five beautiful children. Soon after their marriage, she came to the United States eventually settling in Copperas Cove in 1964 and soon after became a proud American citizen. Her family, being a mother and homemaker brought her great joy. She also enjoyed working in her yard as well as decorating her home at Christmastime. She was a true blue Dallas Cowboy supporter. She took pride in her appearance and seldom allowed herself to be seen without her lipstick. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999 and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Marian Nischwitz of Cypress, Diane Welch of Belton; three sons, Heinz Hubbert of Santa Maria, CA, Donald Hubbert of Belton, Michael Hubbert of Copperas Cove; sister, Marianne Kuhr of Regensburg, Germany; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
