Loyal Ruben “Joe” Peck, age 87, of Kempner, went to his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Seton Medical Center in Kyle, Texas. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. A Rosary will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday, August 15, 2017 followed by visitation until 6:00 pm at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.

Joe was born on December 30, 1929 to the late Ruben and Iners Rupe Peck in Willard Green County, MO. He entered the United States Army in 1948 and he retired after 28 years on Decem-ber 31, 1976. He enjoyed playing sports, espe-cially baseball. Joe was an umpire for a number of years all over central Texas. He was well liked by his family and friends. He always had a good story to tell and was a loving husband to his wife Rosa of 61 years. 

Joe is survived by his loving wife whom he shared his life with, Rosa Wipfler Peck; sister-in-law, Maria Ries and numerous nieces and neph-ews in Germany.
