Lorene Fay Krause, 80, of Burnet died November 26, 2014. She was born June 29, 1934, in Clarksville to Charles W. Dillman and Martha H. Bandemer. She married Harold A. Krause in 1952. Lorene lived in Austin from 1967 to 1993 and was retired from Federal Civil Service from Bergstrom AFB. She moved to Lake Buchanan in 1993. Lorene was a founding and active member of Genesis Lutheran Church at Buchanan Dam, a life member of the East Lake Buchanan Dam VFD Ladies Auxiliary Ladies League, and the National and Active Federal Employees Association. Lorene loved to watch the deer and hummingbirds and visit with her family. She loved butterflies, playing dominoes, cards, wahoo, and games of all kinds. Lorene is survived by her sons Alan Krause and wife Pamela of Tuscola and Ray Krause and wife Yvonne of Los Alamos, N.M. Also surviving are her 3 grandchildren Kimberly Martin, Andrew Krause, and Shannon Krause and her 4 great grandchildren Rusty, Ethan, Merrick, and Wylan and her sisterin- law Gladys Dillman. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband Harold A. Krause, daughter Karen Kay Krause Chambers, grandson Kenneth M. Krause, brother Charles Dillman and her parents Charles and Martha. The funeral for Lorene will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Genesis Lutheran Church in Buchanan Dam. Burial will follow at 4:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery near Copperas Cove. Those named as pallbearers are Larry Denney, Andrew Krause, Ethan Pumphret, Randy Rausch, Danny Brakhage and Rick Berger. Honorary pallbearers named were Ray Murphy and Gerry Hilbert.
